Chasing Chalet..

Yet another weekend spree. Yes, it happened again. The 23rd of July treated me with a trip to Aamby Valley with my dear friends. The seven of us packed ourselves and made our way in two cars, en route to Lonavala, for  the second time this month.. *springing up with joy even after the experience*

The long 3-hour drive to our destination on the expressway is not new to me anymore, but it still is wonderful to see the sight that takes me to paradise all over again. And yeah, the thought of leaving the oh-so-crowded and noisy city is blissful.

But what made this trip unlike any other, we had no place to stay. No chalet available, no cottage, no room, nothing, but just a ray of hope to get a place for the night and get our names off the freaking waiting list. But I guess God was having fun with the idea of toying around with us for a while.. We are no less though, we know how to turn the tables around when the going gets tough..*smirk*

For starters, a 3-hour trip was stretched out for long and we reached in 6 hours. No complaints. The foggy roads and the slight drizzle was all so pristine. But getting caught by a cop for all the booze that we were loaded with, not a good start, but its just another hurdle crossed.

After a lavish lunch at four seasons... FOUR SEASONS..(i was just making sure you read that right, hehe), we wandered along the 10 acres of land, pondering upon what to do next. At least my besty and I found out a way to relax. The two of us headed for a spa, for an hours worth of relaxation and rejuvenation, and it really did last the whole day.

After cleaning up, we drove off to 19 degree north latitude challenge for paintball feud in the rain. Fun Fun Fun, and also very dirty and murky. But mostly fun:) And we were struck with our horror later again, NO CHALET. Again wandering and waiting for rooms for over an hour, we managed to sneak inside a few changing rooms next to a pool and got ourselves cleaned. By now, we were all broke, cold, shelter-less, hungry and clueless. But the staff at four seasons were sweet enough to provide us a few sandwiches after hours.

Being abandoned in the cold dark night was still an issue, so that's when we decided to manage and fit ourselves in the car and sleep the night away. Like I said earlier, God was enjoying every moment of this episode. I know I spoke about having a new experience in my earlier posts, and how you should embrace every moment, well, This is INSANE!!!!   Awkward positions, all our legs coiled up with each other, angry winds roaring outside, achy back even after the so-called refreshing Swedish massage, not worth it....

By the end of it, all tired yet elated faces to get back home had one common expression.."What a Trip.".
Please Mr.God, Never AGAIN...

P.S: Asha Noella Mohan, You wanna kill me, don't you??
P.P.S:: My back still hurts terribly, if it makes you feel any better...lol.
